Two more cities, Fredericia and Aalborg have expressed their interest to host Eurovision Song Contest 2014. Previously, Copenhagen and Herning have announced they could host the event next May.

Of these all, Copenhagen has obviously the biggest hotel capacity and largest arena which would be Parken, the same place where 2001 song contest was held. Had they won a year or two later, they would have been able to host the contest in a new Copenhagen Arena.

Herning could host the contest in Jyske Bank Boxen which has a capacity of 12,000 people, so pretty much the same as Malmö Arena. The Danish national final took place there this year.

Fredericia is slightly smaller than Herning with a population of 40,000 people. Exhibition centre Messe C could hold up to 8,000 spectators.

Also city of Aalborg has contacted DR to discuss more about hosting the event. Gigantium would be the venue for Eurovision with a capacity for 8,500 people. The 2012 Dansk Melodi Grand Prix was held there.
