The Norwegian national selection, Melodi Grand Prix (MGP) announces today that the submission period for 2014 is now open.
The selection will get a different twist for next year’s edition, but there is still unknown for the public what kind of differences they will make. The only hint they have published is that the contest will have more focus on the music. But to accomplish that, they first of all need composers to enter with good songs. Especially since one of their plans is to have less entries competing than before.
Vivi Stenberg is responsible for the entries in MGP and wants everyone that has a good song to enter the contest next year. She also wants music that can represent lots of different genres and for the composers to think in new and different ways.
Even though the submission period is open for every single composer all around the world, MGP is very interested to see new Norwegian composers entering. The submission period is open from this day on and until the 15th of September.
If you want to enter you can find the rules and registration in English here.
