Eurovision stars at Stockholm Pride

Stockholm Pride

As usual, Stockholm is full of colors when Scandinavia’s largest gay pride event takes place there late this month. This year many well known former Eurovision representatives (and maybe future representatives as well) are performing at the Pride Park.

Latest addition to the list is the Sammarinese Eurovision representative Valentina Monetta who will conquer the Eurovision stage also in 2014. Previously also the first ever Eurovision winner Miss Lys Assia and the latest winner Emmelie de Forest were confirmed to perform at Stockholm Pride. Swedish-Greek 2005 Eurovision winner Helena Paparizou is also worth a mention.

Gina G, who competed for United Kingdom at the 1996 Eurovision, will sing her Eurovision entry “Ooh Aah… Just A Little Bit” in Stockholm as well. Nowadays she lives in Los Angeles but will fly to Stockholm for her gig on the first of August.

From this year’s Eurovision Song Contest Krista Siegfrids, Zlata OgnevichRyan Dolan, Margaret Berger and Roberto Bellarosa have been confirmed by the organisers. From the 2011 song contest Getter Jaani from Estonia will join the festivities.

Familiar names from Melodifestivalen are Anton Ewald, Sean Banan, Michale Feiner & Caisa and Janet Leon who sings  this year’s official Pride anthem ‘New Colours‘, written by Janet Leon, Jesper Jakobson, Lisa Desmond and the GRAMMY-nominated demo producer Jörgen Elofsson.

Stockholm Pride takes place between the 30th of July and the 3rd of August. More information about the events can be found here.
