As reported last week, the Swiss national final will be different to previous years with six acts competing in the February final. Now the Italian language broadcaster in Switzerland has opened its submission period for Eurovision 2014 pre-selections.
All the willing artists can submit their works to the broadcaster by October 30 when the jury starts to review the songs. Seven songs, including the winner of Fattore Voce 2013 Agata Pelloni, will compete in a regional final on radio. The audience can vote for their favorites and will choose the three winners.
These three acts will then face another jury which will review all the 18 songs, sent by different broadcasters. These 18 will be narrowed down to six that will eventually compete in the national final on February 1st. SRF gets three representatives, RTS two and RSI one for the national final which takes place in Kreuzlingen.
The winner in the final will be chosen by the jury together with the audience (50/50%).
