The EBU today released the revamped jury voting rules. The change is made after the voting scandal as it is believed that Azerbaijan and some other countries have bought votes over the last years.
The new rules force the broadcasters to reveal the names of the jury members already before Eurovision, in early May. From next year on the jury panel can’t consist of the persons who have been in the jury over the previous two years.
The votes of each juror will be revealed right after the grand final as well as the split jury and televoting results.
By these changes EBU want’s to make the contest more transparent and fair so that voting scandals will be avoided.
