The RTCG General Director Rade Vojvodić has stated in an interview with a Montenegrin newspaper that the broadcaster will soon reveal who will be representing the country at Eurovision in 2014. Therefore it is expected that Montenegro won’t follow the example set by Croatia which would be withdrawal from the song contest.
If the rumors are to be believed, the artist getting the ticket to Copenhagen would be Sergej Ćetković, a 37-year old singer who has released six studio albums in his career. The artist himself has also expressed positive comments towards Eurovision and said that he would like to represent Montenegro in the contest.
Montenegro has participated Eurovision for five times as an independent state. The best result came in 2009 when they finished 11th in the semi-final.
