At midnight, the Danish national selection, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, received the most amount of entries they have ever got. 872 entries was counted, which broke the record from last year with 692 entries. The entries contains both amateurs and professional musicians along with wildcards, which is special invited musicians.
The entertainment supervisor at the national broadcaster DK, Rasmus Ladefoged, thinks the huge amount of entries has something to do with the fact that Denmark won Eurovision Song Contest 2013, and that they now will host the contest themselves.
A secret jury, contained by professionals from the music industry, is already up to chose the entries for the national final which will be held 8th of March 2014.
