The organizers of Copenhagen 2014 promises that the stage for Eurovision 2014 will be ‘one of the most unusual stages of the contest’. The plan is that the stage will be in the middle of B&W Hallerne, surrounded by the audience. The stage designer Claus Zier has also said that they will take advantage of the high roof.
– The stage has to be strong enough visually that no one is in any doubt that it is the same show, even though each country has a different expression. We have a fanastic anoubnt of height that we want to take advantage of, and we want to make magic in this space, Zier comments.
The preparations on ‘Eurovision Island’ are well underway so that everything will be ready by late April. There are plans that the fans could arrive on the island by boat in addition to shuttle buses. There will be a lot happening outside the venue as well – there will be restaurants, bars and a lot of entertainment on the island and Eurovision will also be visible in the city center.
‘Fan Mile’ (see the picture below) will lead to the Eurovision Village at Kongens Nytorv from the Central Station. Along the way there will be plenty of Eurovision events.
