Poland ditched Eurovision Song Contest for two years after the 2011 song contest but now TVP is returning to the contest. After pondering the options for a long time, the TVP board decided to enter Eurovision 2014.
TVP will inform more about how the representative is chosen in January and says that their entry will be out by the end of February.
The original reason for withdrawing was that the broadcaster invested in Euro 2012 -football championships and Olympic games.
Poland is the 38th country to initially confirm participation. Broadcasters can still, however, withdraw without any penalty and the final list of participating countries will be released in early 2014.
Poland debuted in Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 so that the country will celebrate its 20th anniversary in Copenhagen.
