Last week it was confirmed that a 31-year old Mei Finegold would represent Israel in Copenhagen. Now the broadcaster is giving a chance for songwriters to compose songs for her. At least one of all the received compositions will be chosen to compete in the song selection show.
In total, there will be three songs competing in the national final in early March. Songwriters can participate with their works by January 28th by sending an email to the broadcaster. More information on IBA’s website.
Finegold was chosen internally by IBA’s selection committee. The artist’s breakthrough happened in 2009 when she finished third in Israeli talent competition ‘Kokhav Nolad 7′.
Israel will compete in the second semi-final in Copenhagen as requested by IBA.
