FYR Macedonia is represented by Tijana Dapčević who was internally picked by the broadcaster already in August. On Saturday night, her Eurovision entry was released and the song title has been changed into Tamu Kaj Sto Pripagam instead of the working title which was Pobeda.
The song was originally meant to be released in January but ‘to avoid people becoming bored with the song’, they postponed the release by a month. Tijana has recorded two versions of the song, one in English and one in Macedonian. The English one is called To The Sky. Which version she’ll perform in Copenhagen is still unknown.
Earlier, Tijana has revealed that she will be joined in Copenhagen by her sister Tamara who represented the country in 2008. Also Tijana’s good friend, songwriter, singer Leontina Vukomanović will be on stage as another backing vocalist. She is the best known as the lyricist of ‘Lane Moje’, the song which finished second in 2004 for Serbia-Montenegro.
