Germany chose its entrant as the last Big5 country. Eight acts competed and three voting rounds took place before the winner was found out. In the first round, each artist performed their first song. The four most voted qualified for the second round to perform another song.
Elaiza, Unheilig, MarieMarie and Santiano qualified for the second round. Eventually, Elaiza and Unheilig remained in the final round competing against each other. After the votes had been counted, it was announced that Elaiza had won the show with ‘Is It Right’.
