Tolmachevy Twins will sing ‘Shine’

Tolmachevy Twins

The Russian girl duo Tolmachevy Twins were officially confirmed to be the country’s representatives last weekend and today, their entry has been released as well. Their song is called ‘Shine’ and it can be listened below. John Ballard, Ralph Charlie, Gerard James Borg, Philipp Kirkorov and Dimitris Kontopoulos have composed it.

Born in 1997, the twins Anastasiya and Maria won the 2006 Junior Eurovision and in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, held in Moscow, they opened the first semi-final.

In September, the Russian broadcaster launched a pre-selection format called Kto? which should’ve taken place in late December. These plans were however cancelled and instead, the country’s representative was chosen internally.
