The first two illustrations of the Eurovision 2014 stage were shown to the fans today at the Eurovision In Concert -event in Amsterdam. The pictures show that the stage is a diamond-shaped thus fitting the theme.
– We have tried to make it all fit together – the stage, graphics and our slogan ‘#JoinUs’. And apparently we have succeeded if people first think of a diamond when they see the stage, DR’s Show Manager Jan Lagermand Lundme comments.
Previously it has been revealed that the stage features 1,200 square meters of LED screens – for comparison the 2009 stage had some 2,000 square meters of LED surface and the 2011 stage 1,080 square meters.
Lagermand Lundme hints that the stage features some moving objects as well.
– It’s going to be able to do something very magical. But I really can’t tell more.
The stage is almost finished inside B&W Hallern, only some details are to be installed. The stage must be ready by Thursday when the first technical rehearsals begin. The participating artists will start rehearsing on April 28th.
