Some 500,000 tweets were sent last night when the first semi-final of Eurovision aired. The graphic, published by DR and EBU, shows that there were two clear peaks during the show. The most tweets (some 7,000) were sent when Iceland was on stage – represented by the colorful group Pollapönk.
Another peak was when the results were announced. As usual, there were notably less tweets during breaks (commercial breaks in some countries) and the interval act.
Also the Belgian, Portuguese and Dutch performances were among the most spoken acts last night.
