Switzerland is preparing for the upcoming Eurovision season by announcing more details of their pre-selection format. The Eurovision process is once again cooperation between the three local broadcasters; SRF, RTS and RSI.

The German speaking broadcaster SRF starts accepting submissions on September 29th and the deadline is set for October 27th. All eligible songs will be uploaded on the broadcaster’s internet platform for everyone to listen. The internet voting combined with the jury voting (50/50%) will determine the nine entries to compete in the ‘Expert Check’.

The Italian and French speaking broadcasters choose their candidates for the Expert Check. Their selection formats are yet to be confirmed. RTS will have six songs and RSI three in the Expert Check which will take place in early December (preliminary date set for December 7th). Six out of 18 will qualify for the national final as chosen by the jury.

National final will be held on January 31st – the host city is likely to be Kreuzlingen as was the case this year.
