ESC 2015: Semi-Final Allocation Draw on January 26th

Building Bridges

In less than seven months the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 will be competed in Vienna, Austria. The host broadcaster ORF is in full swing organizing the shows and the first  events in Vienna will take place already in January. On January 26th, the traditional Host City Insignia ceremony will take place when the mayor of Copenhagen hands over the Eurovision key to the mayor of Vienna.

On the same day, the Semi-Final Allocation Draw will be held at the Vienna City Hall. Then we will know in which semi-final each country will be competing.

Head of Delegation meeting in March

Representatives from each participating country’s delegation will arrive in Vienna for the Head of Delegation meeting on March 16th and 17th. EBU and ORF will then present the delegations useful facts for example about the stage and other news. All the competing entries should also be handed over to EBU.

The first rehearsals will take place in Wiener Stadthalle on May 11th. The Welcome Reception will take place the same week, on May 17th.

Decisions regarding the locations of Eurovision Village and EuroClub will be made within the next weeks.

Tickets go on sale soon

The first tickets for all three shows and their rehearsals will be released in mid-November. The exact date is yet to be confirmed. ORF reminds that the tickets should be purchased via the official ticketing partner only. More tickets will come on sale later on.

The theme art will be presented in December. The slogan is already released and it is “Building Bridges”.
