Confirmed: 39 countries to compete in 2015 song contest

EBU have today released the official list of participating broadcasters. A total of 39 countries will be represented in Eurovision Song Contest 2015. This is two more than this year in Copenhagen.

Ukraine is withdrawing from the contest while Serbia, Cyprus and Czech Republic return. Meanwhile Turkey, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovakia and Bulgaria continue their absence.

Due to the odd number of participants, EBU have decided that 16 countries will compete in the first semi-final and 17 in the second semi-final. The remaining six are already qualified to the final. The Semi-Final Allocation Draw is to take place on January 26th as earlier reported.
