Edurne has been confirmed the Spanish representative for the 2015 song contest. TVE held a press conference on Wednesday morning in which they presented the internally chosen artist for Vienna.
Edurne, 29, has gained popularity in the country especially after participating tv-shows such as Operación Triunfo, Dancing With The Stars and Your Face Sounds Familiar. Her latest, fifth, studio album was released in 2013 which featured singles ‘Pretty Boy’ and ‘Painkiller’ (listen below). Edurne has also starred musical Grease in Spain.
Her Eurovision entry is also picked internally and it will be released within three to four weeks. The title is ‘Amanecer’ and Edurne comments it is a pop song in Spanish and something that Spain has never sent to Eurovision before. The song is composed by Tony Sánchez–Ohlsson.
