Sala Polivalentă in Craiova will be hosting the Romanian Eurovision final on the 8th of March. According to the broadcaster TVR, many cities expressed their willingness of hosting the show.
Craiova was chosen thanks to its three-year old indoor arena with a capacity of up to 4,000 spectators. Another reason was that the city aims to be named the 2021 European Capital of Culture.
TVR has opened the submission period which will close on February 8th. The 12 finalists will be announced on February 12th.
Romania competes in the first semi-final in Vienna.
