Armenia is represented this year by a group which is formed especially for Eurovision Song Contest. The group is named Genealogy and their entry is called ‘Don’t Deny’. It will be released later on.
The members of the group come from across the world. By this decision, the Armenian broadcaster wants to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide;
Valuing the idea of peace, unity, and tolerance, the creative team of the AMPTV united the new generation of the Armenian people who spread through five continents around the world in the year of 1915.
There will be six members in this group; one from America, Australia, Europe, Africa and Asia. The sixth member in the middle will be from Armenia. This refers to the forget-me-not flower which is the symbol of Centennial of the Armenian Genocide.
The first member of the group will be presented on the February 16th.
