Tonight: First show in Austria


This year’s hosting country, Austria, will kick off their national selection process, Wer singt für Österreich? tonight, with the first out of four shows. All shows before the final is already recorded as the results of these are chosen by a expert panel, but the final will be shown on live TV. 16 acts are chosen and they will fight for a place in Eurovision Song Contest 2015, as the represent of the host country. All these 16 acts will perform tonight:

  • The Makemakes – Million Euro Smile
  • Tandem – Zeig ihn mir
  • Wo/Men – Happy (cover, originally by Pharrell Williams)
  • Royal Kombo  Ram pam pam
  • Clara Blume – Love & Starve
  • Zoe – Adieu
  • Dawa – On the Run
  • Celine Ann – I Never Loved a Man (Cover, originally by Aretha Franklin)
  • Johann Sebastian Bass – Heart of Stone
  • Kathi Kallauch – Das leben ist zu kurz
  • Kommando Elefant – Mein design furs leben
  • Folkshilfe – Seit a poa tog
  • Lemo – So leicht
  • Mizgebonez – Murmeltier/ Fitnesstraining (Medley)
  • Renato Unterberg – Love
  • The Su’sis – This and That

Six out of these 16 entries will proceed to the next phase tonight. The songs performed tonight will not be their Eurovision entries, as these will be presented in the third show. Next week, in the 2nd show, the six chosen acts will be judged only by their vocal talent. The result in the big final will be decided by a mixture of votes from the panel and televoters.
