Presenting the entries: Israel

Nadav Guedj – Golden Boy

Composer: Doron Medalie

Selection format

In September 2014, the Israeli broadcaster IBA wanted the radio station 88FM to generate a list over potential Israeli artists that could represent Israel in 2015. The one who ended up topping the list, Marina Maximilian Blumin, did not want to represent the country, and the planned process was shut down. Later on, in November, IBA revealed that they would find their  representative through the TV-competition HaKokhav HaBa, which can be translated to The Rising Star. In February 2015, Nadav Guedj won the competition, and is now ready to sing for Israel in Eurovision Song Contest 2015. His song was chosen later on by an expert panel.

Nadav Guedj

Being only 16 years old, Nadav is one of the youngest competitors in Eurovision this year. He is currently a high school student, and now winner of one of Israel’s most popular TV shows and Israeli representative in Eurovision Song Contest 2015. Nadav is very interested in music, and can get inspired by many different genres, like R&B, hip hop and local music.

Navad will perform his entry in the second semifinal, on May 21st.
